The Strong Families, Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line is the first point of contact for child wellbeing and safety. It provides information, advice and assistance. The Advice and Referral Line is available for everyone with a concern about the safety and wellbeing of a child, Mandatory Reporters, concerned relatives, friends or neighbours. Parents and children can also call to ask for help for themselves.

Defendant Health Liaison Service

Service for people who have been involved in a family violence incident and have been issued with a Police Family Violence Order (PFVO) or a Family Violence Order (FVO). They can provide information and advice about what a PFVO/FVO means, how to prevent breaches and provide referrals to appropriate services.

Keeping Women Safe in their HomesThis program provides funding for home security upgrades to allow women to stay in their own homes, or a home of their choice, where it is safe to do so.
This program is delivered through Safe at Home: the Tasmanian Government’s Integrated Criminal Justice Response to Family Violence.

Flexible Support PackagesUp to $6,000 to cover practical expenses to enhance safety and wellbeing when leaving an abusive relationship.
Items covered include (but are not limited to): relocation costs or bond; bills including utilities; food; clothing; medical supplies; white goods and furniture.
Flexible Support Packages are delivered through Safe at Home: the Tasmanian Government’s Integrated Criminal Justice Response to Family Violence.

Escaping Violence Payment

Up to $5,000 to cover practical expenses to enhance safety and wellbeing when leaving an abusive relationship, including:
up to $1,500 cash equivalent such as vouchers for essential items, and goods and services (such as removalists, bonds or household essentials.
