To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the start of 16 Days of Activism, the Tasmanian Government is working with Our Watch to promote the Doing Nothing Does Harm campaign, which aims to encourage Australians to call out sexism and disrespect towards women.

The 16 Days of Activism begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and continue until International Human Rights Day on 10 December.

Our Watch is promoting Do Something: 16 Days, 16 Ways, supporting everyone to ‘do something’ when they witness sexism and disrespect towards women, including using the three S’s – Show it’s not ok; Support women; and Speak up.

Tasmanian Government agencies will be promoting Do Something messages on social media over the 16 days, as well as promoting the campaign in workplaces.
