Engender Equality recently appointed Tess Moodie as the new Project Coordinator for the Advocates for Change Program.

The Advocates for Change are a group of advocates with lived experience of family and/or sexual violence who are passionate  about creating better outcomes for victim-survivors. The Advocates have spoken in the media, at community events offered their expertise to policy submissions.

Engender Equality are now recruiting for a new intake of volunteer advocates. This intake is conducted by inviting expression of interest, interviewing potential participants to assess suitability and risk, and then offering the successful applicants formal training before stepping into their roles.

Expressions of interest close on Monday 5 October 2020.

This year the training will be held online by Zoom in November 2020.
